Grills, burners and appliances can fail from weather exposure, gas-line issues, or poor installation, and a corroded burner or failing igniter turns a great entertaining space into a liability. The useful question is not what broke but why, because those three causes have three different fixes and three different prices - an appliance that failed because it was never weather-rated needs different work from one that failed because the gas line behind it was sized for a single burner. What it looks like when an appliance starts to go

Compare any repair quote against those replacement bands rather than against a feeling about the appliance.
